GBB is Born - Our First Fundraiser

A few months ago my best friend Batya Blitz passed away. She was an amazing person who would talk to any stranger, give them a compliment, and make their day. She especially loved talking to and helping people who were homeless. She would confidently walk up to anyone who looked like they were struggling, strike up a conversation, make them feel good, and give them whatever she had to give.

On September 8th, Batya would have turned 21, the age I am now going to turn. For her birthday, her family in LA made many packages to distribute to people experiencing homlessness, while I decided to do the same in DC. In September, I put together around 20 packages with food, water, hand sanitizer, and personal hygiene products and delivered them around DC. It such an amazing and impactful experience that I decided that I wanted to make it a regular event.

I plan to put backpacks together that include food and essentials, if we can raise enough money I can order in bulk and we can make the backpacks for this price:
